Undergraduate Program Admission Brochure for International Students of Nanjing Normal University (2026)

        In accordance with the Regulations on the Management of International Students at Nanjing Normal University, our university has formulated the application guidelines for international students in 2026. The specific contents are as follows:

I. Application Eligibility

Basic Requirements

A.Hold a valid foreign passport and be a non-Chinese citizen, with an age not exceeding 28 years old in principle.  

B.Have graduated from high school or obtained an equivalent academic qualification, and be eligible for university admission.  

        C.Be in good health, friendly to China, of good conduct, and have no criminal record.

March 1, 2026 - May 30, 2026  

IV. Application and Admission Process

Step 1: Take the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)"

        Applicants must take the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)" organized by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and obtain the test score. For specific test time and content, applicants can visit the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn).

Step 2: Fill in and submit the online application

        Applicants must first register an account on the application system, log in to fill in the application form, and upload application materials. After completion, be sure to click the "Submit" button.

Step 3: Attend the interview

        After review by the university, qualified applicants will be invited to an interview. The interview will focus on assessing the applicant’s comprehensive quality and Chinese language proficiency.  

Step 4: Check the admission result

        Please pay attention to the admission status in the application system and information in email.  

Step 5: Download the admission notice and pay tuition fees

        Starting from June 1, 2026, admitted students can download the official electronic admission notice through the application system or email.  

Notes:

        The application fee of our university is 400 RMB. Once paid, it is non-refundable. If you need to pay the application fee, our university will notify you via email or in-system message.  

       Students who receive the admission notice must pay the tuition fee for the first academic year within two weeks from the date of the admission notice release to confirm their enrollment. Specific payment instructions will be sent via email.  

V. Application Materials

A. The first page of the passport and the visa page . The passport must be valid until March 1, 2027 or later.  

B. High school graduation certificate. Fresh graduates shall submit the original certificate of expected graduation issued by their current school. Versions other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a notarized translation.  

C. Complete academic transcripts of high school. Versions other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a notarized translation.  

D. Original score report of the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)" organized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.  

E. Proof of Chinese language proficiency: HSK4 with a score of 210 or above.  

F. Guardian Guarantee Letter. Applicants under the age of 18 by September 1, 2026 must submit this document. The guardian shall be an adult residing in the Chinese mainland with a stable source of income.

G. Certificate of no criminal record. It must be issued within 6 months before the application.  

H. Proof of personal financial ability or financial guarantee certificate. If financial support is provided by others, please fill in the Financial Guarantee Form for International Students of Nanjing Normal University and submit the corresponding materials.  

        I. Other documents: Award certificates, published papers, or other documents that can prove academic ability and comprehensive quality.

VI. Tuition Standard

        In accordance with the Interim Provisions on Tuition Collection for Self-funded International Students of Nanjing Normal University, the annual fee standards for self-funded international students of Nanjing Normal University are as follows:

Insurance fee: 800 RMB per academic year  

Textbook fee: Determined by the major  

Accommodation fee: 3,500 - 6,000 RMB per semester  

Note: Students who withdraw mid-semester will receive an 80% refund of tuition fees if they apply and are approved within the first two weeks of the semester. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals requested after the two-week period.

VIII. Enrollment Time

      The enrollment time is early September 2026, subject to the Admission Notice of Nanjing Normal University.  

IX.  Notes

A. Please ensure that the information filled in the application system is true and valid, and the uploaded materials are complete and correct. No supplementary materials will be accepted after the application is submitted. Please keep track of the review status in the application system and your personal email.  

B. Once admitted, the passport information cannot be changed until the completion of enrollment registration.  

C. Students must go through the enrollment and registration procedures in strict accordance with the requirements of Nanjing Normal University. The university will verify the original copies of the student’s passport, visa, and academic certificate during enrollment registration. If the materials do not meet the relevant verification requirements at the time of registration, the admission qualification will be canceled.  

D. Admitted students cannot change their nationality status.  

E. Any applicant found to have engaged in fabrication, fraud, or other improper practices will have their application, admission, or enrollment qualification canceled once verified. Students who have already registered will be expelled from school.  

F. If the following transcripts are submitted, the scores will be valid for two years from the examination date: HSK, TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, IB, A-level, etc.
