2026 Application Guide for International Students

According to the Regulations on the Management of International Students in Nanjing Normal University, our university has formulated the 2026 Application Guide for International Students. The details are as follows:

I.Application Requirements 

  The Applicant must be a foreign citizen, above 18 years old, in good physical and mental health, friendly to China, and of good character.

II. Programs and Scholarships 

   Our University currently offers 80 undergraduate majors, 95 master’s majors, and 68 doctoral majors for international applicants (For more details, please refer to the application system: https://njnu.17gz.org/). Programs taught in English are listed in the table below:

III.Tuition Fees for Self-Funded Students

According to the Interim Regulations on the Tuition Collection for Self-Funded International Students at Nanjing Normal University, the annual tuition fees for self-funded international students are as follows:

Additional Fees:

•Insurance fee: 800RMB for one academic year

•Teaching materials: vary according to majors

•Accommodation: 3,500RMB---6,000RMB per semester

Note: According to the "Interim Provisions of Nanjing Normal University on the Collection of Tuition Fees for Self-funded International Students", if a student withdraws from school or transfers within two weeks of the start of the term and the application is approved, 80% of the tuition fee will be refunded. If you apply for withdrawal or transfer two weeks later, the tuition fee will not be refunded.

Notes:Applicants who do not meet HSK requirements can apply for Chinese language program first and can begin major study after their HSK scores meet demands.Some English-taught programs do not require an HSK certificate but require proof of English language proficiencyOur school accepts IELTS or TOEFL scores, or proof that the previous degree was taught in English..

V.Application Procedure

  Complete NNU online application at website: https://njnu.17gz.org/

(CSC scholarship applicants complete CSC online application as well at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn. Our agency number is 10319.)

 We will inform the applicant of the admission result either by phone or e-mail after a thorough review of the application and supporting materials. Results may be:

   Admission without further interview or exams;

   A requirement of an additional Interview;

   A requirement of an additional interview and exams;

VI.Notifications

  • All materials uploaded through the system (e.g:passport, diploma, transcripts, supervisor s acceptance letter, etc.) must be clear, authentic, and valid. Any falsification, once verified, will result in the cancellation of the applicant s admission eligibility.
  • If the applicant is a current student, a certificate of expected graduation or an enrollment certificate issued by their school must be submitted. (If admitted successfully, the applicant must present their graduation certificate and degree certificate upon registration. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of admission.)
  • Please pay attention to the deadline of the online application system. Our university will send the admission letter and other materials to scholarship recipients via email. Please ensure your email address is entered accurately and remains active. Failure to respond promptly to important notifications may result in missed opportunities, for which the applicant will take full responsibility.
  • Students granted with Chinese government scholarship or University Scholarship are not eligible for other scholarships offered by Chinese government at all levels and university at the same time.
  • If admitted successfully, students will start studying in Nanjing Normal University in early September, 2026. The exact registration date is subject to the information provided in the admission letter.
  • In principle, Students who are successfully admitted are not allowed to change the institution, major, teaching language, or study duration specified in the Admission Letter.
  • Our university never authorizes any individual or agency to recruit students for admission. For any admission application inquiries, please contact us directly.
