In accordance with cooperative training thoughts of running school, to strengthen the disciplines of basic education, adhere to individualized, follow the training mode of "autonomous learning, individualized cultivation, research teaching and international development", and focus on cultivating leaders of solid foundation, distinct personality, great creative ability, in areas such as Scientific and technological innovation with an international perspective, entrepreneurship industrial and public services.
The Honors college has liberal arts intensive class and science and engineering intensive class. We implement the "basic stages of learning + research professional learning phase" training mode. In the second year, students choose their majors to enter the related professional learning. In the basic learning phase, we use advanced teaching philosophy and curriculum system optimization, strengthening discipline of basic education, learning and research capabilities to enhance the independent, self-management and communication skills and overall quality. In the study of the professional learning phase, we develop personalized training programs to strengthen the professional knowledge learning, and develop scientific research and innovation ability.
Most of the graduates are admitted by "985", "211" colleges as a graduate student, some of them to foreign universities to continue their studies. And some of them be employed by enterprises and institutions or be employed by the enterprises and institutions of civil servants. become the main force in the community coming.
2. Program Duration and Credit
This is a four-year undergraduate program, which can be completed within a minimum of three years and a maximum of seven years.
The basic credit of the liberal arts intensive class is 160,science and engineering intensive class is 170.
For the students who have already reached the undergraduate degree, and meet the requirements of the honorary graduation certificate, we will award Nanjing Normal University graduation certificate.
3. Curriculum
The course of the liberal arts、science and engineering intensive classes are divided into three plates: basic courses; major courses; Independent development courses. Basic courses and major courses are required courses to obtain the bachelor's degree.
Basic courses according to the liberal arts, science and engineering courses set up a large categories of platform course, it’s the special programs of the Honors College. The liberal arts curriculum aims to strengthen the history and philosophy of science and technology courses to enhance the number of courses designed to strengthen the number of science and technology courses. The platform of liberal arts aims to strengthen the literature, history and philosophy,Science and engineering courses are designed to strengthen mathematics, physics and chemistry. Basic course is a required course for all students in all subjects.
Major courses come from the students into the professional, then under the guidance of a mentor to select the course from the basic courses and the major courses. Independent development course is students from the requirement of individuation, compound talent, under the guidance of mentor, students independently selected the course. It can be selected from the major courses and independent development courses.
