Introduction

Jiangsu Key Laboratory of 3D Printing Equipment and Manufacturing is a professional institute which was authorized by Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department in 2013. The laboratory is supported by Nanjing Normal University,Nanjing Baoyan Automation Co.,Ltd.and Jiangsu Zijin Electronics Group Co., Ltd. The main research field is 3D printing theory and technology.
There are four research departments in the laboratory and two pilot bases. The site area is over 10,000 square meters. The main research topics are basic theory and design of 3D printing, key technology and the craft of 3D printing, molding equipment and the devices of 3D printing, and development and design of 3D printing molding material. The building objective of the laboratory is to be an internationally competitive innovative group. The main work is to develop a core independent 3D printing platform with intellectual property rights. The direction of the team is to build a talent cultivating base having an internationally high level in 3D printing and manufacturing, which integrates producing, studying and researching. It not only boosts the development and international competitiveness of the 3D printing industry in Jiangsu Province, but also promotes the development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry doemstically.
