Perceiving China, Pursuing Dreams——An Immersive Cultural Exchange Tour for NNUers
This summer, under the leadership of the Youth League Committee of NNU, the International College for Chinese Studies at NNU organized an immersive community outreach project for Chinese and international students to learn about Chinese history and culture. Led by Yicheng Wang, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the International College for Chinese Studies, Chinese students and international students from Russia, Armenia, Argentina, Ecuador, and Vietnam visited rural enterprises, Communist scenic spots, cultural attractions, and tech companies. They also learned about the development of the Communist Party of China over the past century in resonance with the message from President Xi to international students at Nanjing Audit University. President Xi conveyed his best wishes to students in China as well as encouraged the students to actively contribute to deepening friendship and cooperation between countries.
The community outreach team explored the scenic spots one-by-one and practiced the spirit of President Xi’s important message with actions during their research in Guiyang and Panzhou of Guizhou Province, Jinzhai County in Lu’an of Anhui Province, and Nanjing from July 1st to July 8th.
About Technological Development
Led by the teachers from the International College for Chinese Studies at NNU, the students visited Yunchuang Big Data Technology Company to learn about its innovative exploration in the fields of data processing and artificial intelligence as well as its cutting-edge products like "smart streetlights", "earthquake monitoring systems" and "carbon emission intelligent detection", which are widely used in transportation and environmental protection. "China has made amazing progress in artificial intelligence. As a student in China, I feel the convenience technology brings to life!" Ningning from Russia exclaimed.

About Chinese Culture Promotion
In the Nanjing Museum, one of the three major museums in China, the students admired hundreds of precious historical relics, including various kinds of porcelain, jade, bronze ware, calligraphy, paintings, and embroidery. The trip’s aim is to attract international students to Chinese culture through the mutual learning of civilizations, enrich their learning experience, and promote the integration of Chinese and other cultures.

About Red Cultural Attractions
As the Party guides us to never forget our original aspiration and founding mission, students from the International College for Chinese Studies at NNU embarked on a meaningful historical journey to the Revolution Museum of Jinzhai County in Anhui province and Constitution Park in Nanjing. The heroic stories of the martyrs presented in the museum impressed the students with the leading role of the red spirit in China's social stability and national development. The international students said that they will never forget their wonderful experiences in China and strive to be ambassadors of friendship and cooperation between China and their own countries.

About Industrial Revitalization
China has given priority to developing agriculture and rural areas and has advanced rural revitalization across the board. The community outreach team came to Anhui Zhonglai Industrial Co., Ltd. and its Chinese herbal medicine planting base in Jinzhai County, the home of longevity in China, and learned about the achievements of modern agriculture on the ground by observing the "Zhonglai Academy of Sciences" and "intelligent production workshop". The Anhui Zhonglai Industrial Co., Ltd. follows the concept of "wholeness, coordination, circulation, and efficiency", bringing a new look to the development of traditional Chinese medicinal materials in the new era.

In Xiaoshulin Village, Pingdi Town, Guizhou Province, the community outreach team visited the vegetable planting base where patches of green came into view and clusters of vegetables and fruits grew vigorously. Relying on the east and west cooperation construction project, the Xiaoshulin neighborhood committee has built a vegetable base of 500 mu according to local conditions, effectively enhancing the production capacity and promoting rural revitalization through the mode of "village collective + base + farmers".

In Guiyang, Guizhou Province, the team learned that Guizhou abounds with prickle pears, gastrodia, and Duyun Maojian tea. A young returnee said: "The government supports the development of local agriculture, and more people are willing to come to Guizhou, which promotes the sales of agricultural products. I hope more young people will join us and do something meaningful for their hometown."
Through field visits, the Chinese and international students furthered their understanding of the achievements of China's agricultural modernization, the level of scientific and technological manufacturing in enterprises, and the achievements of China's development.
About Education Invigoration
With the cooperation of Jiangsu Province and Guizhou Province, Guizhou has been harvesting fruitful results. On the new journey, the students from the International College for Chinese Studies at NNU have contributed to the beautiful picture of pairing support and cooperation.
It is necessary to focus on education and revitalize the countryside through cultivation. The community outreach team came to Liupanshui of Guizhou Province with donated books and stationery. Literary classics describe the rich and colorful world for children long living in the mountains and become an important window for them to know the world.
Our mission is to help the children realize their dreams. The team taught the children in rural areas Chinese art and drew together with the children. The students of NNU have formed a deep friendship with the children and promised regular exchanges of letters. "Teachers, thank you for teaching me to draw. I will send my paintings to you!" said Jianhao Liu, a first-grade student at Liupanshui Pingdi Central Primary School.

The students and teachers had a heated discussion about President Xi’s message with the international students at Nanjing Audit University. The team organized a forum to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of President Xi’s message. President Xi’s message is lofty and rich in meaning and carries his care and entrustment to the international students in China. The students were deeply inspired and also firmly said that they would do their part to tell Chinese stories, the Chinese experience, and Chinese solutions.
The community outreach project with the theme "Perceiving China, Pursuing Dreams" has led Chinese and international students to understand Chinese culture and history and encouraged them to positively contribute to deepening friendship and cooperation between countries. The students felt in practice that agricultural revitalization is making great progress, the manufacturing industry is focusing on innovation, and the leadership is strong and powerful. It is enlightening to see the world from China’s perspective and vice versa. Both Chinese and international students said they will continue to learn Chinese culture well, tell real Chinese stories, and promote cultural exchanges, mutual learning, cultural integration, and people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries.
