NNU was approved for nine "Provincial Excellent English-Taught Courses for Foreign Students by Jiangsu Universities"

Recently, with the approval of the Jiangsu Education Department, a total of 9 courses in our school have been approved as "Provincial Excellent English-Taught Courses for Foreign Students by Jiangsu Universities ". They are: Introduction to Ethics (Zhen Chen, School of Public Administration), Contemporary Chinese Public Policy (Zaijian Qian from, Honors College), Chinese Children's Educational Development and Education (Yueyan Du, School of Education Science), Computer Animation Creation (Yang Cao, School of Fine Arts), Education Management (Jinkuan Cheng, School of Education Science), Administration Management(Hui Chen, School of Public Administration), Media and Society (Xi Zhuang, School of Journalism and Communication), Principles of Cartography (Jie Shen, School of Geography Science), and Geographic Information System (Guoan Tang, School of Geography Science).

The development of English-taught courses not only meets the need of international cooperation and communication of higher education in the new era, but also the need of our school's strategic goal of building a "high-level university with international influence".

Meanwhile, recently, after being reviewed by the Jiangsu Education Department, the Undergraduate Education Project in Electrical Engineering and Automation jointly organized by our school and Northumbria University in the UK has passed the acceptance and evaluation stage of the High-level Demonstrative Construction Project of Sino-foreign Cooperation by Jiangsu Universities.

Since 2004, when our school collaborated with Northumbria University to carry out the Undergraduate Education Project in Electrical Engineering and Automation, the project has recruited and trained more than ten graduate students. After obtaining the NU bachelor's degree in engineering, students can continue to pursue a master's degree in the UK. More than 450 students have obtained master's degree abroad, and some of them continued on to pursue a doctoral degree. The universities for further study include University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh, etc. The project has made great progress in student training, teacher exchange and teaching material compilation.

The successful selection fully affirms the school’s quality and the high standard of the project which will last for many years. At the same time, it also provides a new platform as well as new opportunities for us to build a high-level university with international influence. It will play a more significant role in promoting the development of an international high-level faculty and building a comprehensive platform for international communication.
