According to the latest ESI statistics released on March 20th, 2020 by Clarivate Analytics, the mathematics discipline of NNU has squeezed into the global 1% of ESI for the first time. For six years in a row since 2015, each year has witnessed one discipline of NNU newly included in ESI Global 1%. Until now, eight disciplines have made the list, among which engineering and chemistry are ranked globally in the top 4% of ESI.
The Ranking of NNU Disciplines in ESI Global 1%
Statistics show that from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2019, a total of 1243 mathematics papers have been published, with an overall citation number of 4944. The average citation is 3.98 times for each paper and 15 papers are highly cited. Among the 271 institutions in the global top 1%, NNU's mathematics discipline ranks 264th.
Schoolwide, the number of ESI papers in the 22 fields ranked by ESI have increased to 10719 and overall citations have grown to 118684, with an average number of 11.07 citations and 174 highly cited papers. Compared with the statistics from January 2020, NNU has an ESI global ranking of 1204 (based on the overall citation number), rising 16 places in the rankings.
