Fifty-four receive admission and 2016 Confucius Institute Scholarships

Fifty-four students from 25 countries have been admitted to NNU and awarded the 2016 Confucius Institute Scholarships.

The Confucius Institute Scholarships Program was established by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) to support non-native students, scholars and Chinese language teachers to study Chinese in a relevant university in China, and NNU is included in the list of host institutions.

After an overall assessment, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of NNU admitted fifty-four students from 25 countries and awarded them the 2016 Confucius Institute Scholarships. So far, forty-seven students coming from 19 countries have been registered by NNU.

The welcoming ceremony for these students was held on September 23, 2016. More than forty scholarship winners attended the opening ceremony. NNU Vice President Jiandong Miao, Confucius Institute teacher Li Mo and graduate student Lyna spoke at the ceremony.
