From November 16 to 18, 2016, two hundred Pre-University students who earned the Chinese Government Scholarship went to Suzhou and Xinghua, Jiangsu province for scientific and cultural investigation. The “Explore China” event was held by NNU and supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
During the three-day tour, the Pre-University students visited the Suzhou Hengtong Group, the Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator Garden of Suzhou. Invited by the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Xinghua and the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xinghua, the Pre-University students came to Xinghua and visited the modern agricultural science and technology demonstration garden there. In Xinghua, the Pre-University students exchanged ideas with the teachers and students of Zhaoyang Lake Middle School.
“Explore China” is a series event which is supported by CSC. It provides opportunities for foreign exchange students to know more about China. After last year’s successful organization of “Explore China” event, NNU was elected into the list of universities to hold this event again, which fully displayed NNU’s influence of international exchanges and cooperation.
