A Delegation Led by the Vice President of the University of Bergamo Paid a Visit to NNU

On the morning of October 21st, 2024, NNU Vice President Linwang Yuan met with Mariafrancesca Sicilia, the Vice President of the University of Bergamo. During this meeting, they were joined by Anna Facchinetti, the Coordinator of Chinese Studies and Projects, and Alessandra Ghisalbert, the Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Landscape Studies of Global and Local Challenges. The meeting took place on the Xianlin Campus.

Linwang Yuan extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Mariafrancesca Sicilia and provided an overview of the cooperation between NNU and various Italian universities, including the University of Bergamo. He also shared insights into the history of NNU's development, educational characteristics, faculty, and academic disciplines. Linwang Yuan noted that the inter-university exchanges and collaborations on overseas study programs had been progressing smoothly. He expressed hope that by building on this foundation, both institutions would further enhance their exchanges and promote in-depth interdisciplinary and cross-cultural cooperation across a broader range of fields.

Mariafrancesca Sicilia expressed her gratitude for the warm hospitality at NNU. She fully endorsed the achievements of inter-university exchanges between the two institutions and looked forward to in-depth cooperation in scientific research and joint doctoral program training.

During their visit, Mariafrancesca Sicilia and the delegation toured NNU’s library. Key representatives from the International Office, the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures, and the International College for Chinese Studies were present at the meeting.
