A Delegation from the University of Science Malaysia Visited NNU

On the morning of November 1st, 2023, Vice President Linwang Yuan met with a delegation from the University of Science Malaysia (USM) led by Vice President Nariman Samat and Maolong Chen, an associate professor from the Geography Department of the School of Humanities, at Nanjing Normal University (NNU).

Linwang Yuan welcomed the delegation and introduced the long history of NNU, its general achievements, the characteristics of its disciplines, and the progress made in international education cooperation over the past few years. Yuan expressed his hope for both parties to take full advantage of the characteristics of their respective disciplines and promote two-way exchanges and in-depth cooperation in many aspects including Sino-foreign cooperative education and international joint laboratories. After expressing his gratitude for the heartfelt reception from NNU, Nariman Samar said both universities have laid a solid foundation for cooperation and have a fantastic platform for communication. In addition, he looked forward to further expanding collaboration in scientific research and educational exchanges in geography, education, and other fields based on their respective disciplinary advantages in the future.

The delegation visited the School of Geographical Sciences to discuss collaboration, specifically on scientific research and then gave their academic reports. Representatives in charge of the International Office and the School of Geographical Sciences at NNU participated in the activity.
