Jiping Huang obtained Bachelor's Degree (1998) and Master's Degree (2000) from Soochow University, and received Ph.D. (2003) in Physics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (Germany), and was appointed as a Humboldt scholar later. From September 2005 to February 2007, he was a researcher at the Department of Physics, Fudan University; from March 2007, he was professor of physics at Fudan University; in 2012, he was supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University. Since February 2006, he has been a doctoral supervisor at the Department of Physics, Fudan University. From January 2007 to March 2009, he was the deputy director of the Department of Physics at Fudan University. In 2012, he won the National Outstanding Youth Fund; in 2017, he won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
