Electron transport and device physics research of two-dimensional materials

Feng Miao

Feng Miao, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Physics, Nanjing University, awardee of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, chief expert of National Basic Research Program of China and awardee of Young overseas high-level talents introduction plan. He graduated from the Department of Physics of Nanjing University in 2004. In 2009, he received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Riverside, and won the Best Ph.D. Graduate Award and the National Excellent Student Award in the same year. He served as an assistant researcher in the HP Laboratory (in Silicon Valley Headquarters) in the United States from 2009 to 2012, and continued his teaching after he was elected into the Young Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan. Prof. Miao is mainly engaged in study the electronic transport of two-dimensional materials and their application in the field of information devices, and he has achieved a series of innovations. As a first or correspondent author, he has published more than 70 SCI papers in international academic journals including Science, Nature, Physics. Rev. Lett. His papers have been cited for more than 12000 times. He has obtained 8 American patents and 2 China’s patents. He is currently appointed as member of the editorial board for Scientific Reports and npj 2D Materials and Applications, as well as reviewers for academic journals such as Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Electronics, Nature Materials, and Nature Communications.
