Peng Yang is the professor, doctoral supervisor and Yuelu Scholar from College ofChemistryChemical Engineering of Hunan University. He was working on his PhD in Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany from 2012 to 2016. Under the guidance of Professor Ulrich Kortz, a chemist studying inorganic polyacid, he was engaged in the synthesis of polyacid noble metal catalysts, Host-guest chemistry and its application in the production of aroma-free gasoline. Then he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at KAUST, short for King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, in Saudi Arabia from 2016 to 2019, and engaged in the design and development of newpolyacid energy carrier materials (proton conductor and lithium ion battery electrode materials). He Joined College of Chemistry Chemical Engineering of Hunan University in October 2019.

Up to now, he has published more than 30 SCI papers, including Acc. Chem. Res., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Sci, etc, which are flagship publications in the field of chemistry. During his overseas study, he cooperated with Exxon Mobil in the United States, successfully applied for 4 international invention patents and obtained research funding support from this enterprise for many times.
