Photography
1. Program Description
The Photography focuses on enabling students to have a deeper understanding of the program, to keep times with photographic technology and the arts of digital media by preparing students to be innovative and quick in mind under the overwhelming environment of modern arts. The program aims to cultivate not only an engineering conception of Photography but also skills that can be applied to all aspects of lives and served as a tool, making the age closely integrated with practice.
In art language and invention, Photography also emphasizes on presenting high-quality, dynamic and static images with an interaction in the process of planning and performing, as well as communications between traditional Photography and visual photography. Students are expected to become experts, strongly motivated and creative, who reach out to areas in business, dynamic image, design and invention in multi-media and art Photography.
2. Program Duration and Credit
This is a four-year undergraduate program, which can be completed within a minimum of three years and a maximum of seven years.
A total of 159 credits are required upon the completion of the program.
3. Curriculum
Three modules of courses are offered for the program: Basic Curriculum, Essential Curriculum, and Elective Curriculum. The Basic and Essential curricula are compulsory for a Bachelor’s degree.
The Elective Curriculum in the list includes extended disciplinary courses offered by the school into which an individual student is admitted, as well as cross disciplinary courses offered by other schools. Students can choose the extended and cross disciplinary courses according to their personal interests and career plans; however, credits should be approved by the School.
