Jiayan Mao

Jiayan Mao who was enrolled in Nanjing Normal University in 2017 is a master’s degree candidate from the School of Psychology. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and the chairman of the School Postgraduate Student Union. He has published more than 10 academic papers as the first author, including 1 SSCI paper, 3 papers in core Chinese journals (2 of which are in category A journals), 1 paper in a special monograph, and 4 conference papers. He participated in 2 national research projects and edited or translated 5 academic works. He spent 1 year serving as a volunteer teacher in Guizhou province. Upon returning, he led the Graduate Student Union to set up the first volunteer service team for graduate students’ mental health. He participated in a summer community service project to serve the drug treatment center, wining several provincial and school-level honors. As the chairman of the Graduate Student Union, he has held more than 50 school-level and college-level activities and won the Excellent Organization Award of the Science and Culture Month twice. He has won a series of awards, including the National Scholarship, the Excellent Volunteer of the Annual Meeting of China Psychology and Social Governance Committee, the Excellent Team for Summer Community Service of Jiangsu Province, the Excellent Communist Party Member, the Excellent Graduate Student, the Excellent Graduate Student Cadre, the Excellent Individual in Community Service , the Star of Science and Culture, the Top 10 Outstanding Young Student, the champion of NNU Debate League, etc. And he has been unconditionally admitted to the Vrije University Amsterdam, Netherlands as a Ph.D candidate.
