Deren Han is professor and Ph. D supervisor of School of Mathematical Sciences,awardee of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2016. He pursues his research on numerical methods and applications of large-scape optimization, making good contributions to alternating direction multiplier method, and making great achievements of transportation planning, magnetic resonance imaging and other application realms. He has published many academic papers on important journals of computational mathematics and operational research such as MP andSIAM journals and applicational journals such as IEEE transactions. He was awarded the second prize of the Young Researchers for Operations Research Society of China (ORSC), the second prize of Progress in Science& Technology of Jiangsu Province. He has directed General Programs and participated in Key Programs of NSFC and was elected to the “333 High-level Talents Cultivation Project” of Jiangsu province and the young and middle-aged academic leaders of “Qinglan Project” of Jiangsu province. He works as the director of ORSC, the executive director of Mathematical Programming Branch and the editor of Computational Mathematics and Journal of the Operations Research Society of China.
